War is made all over the world, and many times for the wrong reason. Don't think God is not in control or does not take action when it looks as if injustice is done, and innocent people are killed. God has an ultimate plan. He gives time to everyone, that they might repent. He judges and makes war in righteousness as punishment and wrath. He uses nations against other nations. Who knows His thoughts and is more righteous than Him, to say that He is wrong in what he is doing? Don't mistake a nation's evil actions for God's judgment. Satan is at work opposing God everyday. Satan has a plan against God also, and he works to manipulate people to do evil things. Man has freewill. Satan uses man's freewill agaisnt God, and he causes nations to do evil also. But if Satan causes one nation to make war with evil motives, God raises up another against it.

Many people argue that God could stop war at anytime, that innocent people are being killed. Many of those people are fighting for freedom, dying for peace, and being persecuted for Jesus Christ’s name. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for they will Inherit the kingdom of heaven.” and again he said, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

So live for Christ, and do God’s will. Be faithful until death even if it means dying in peace in times of war and persecution and you will inherit the kingdom of Heaven.

Chronicles 28:3

3 But God said to me, “You are not to build a house for my home, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.

(Because David shed blood in war he was not aloud to build God’s temple, but his son Solomon was aloud because he was a peaceful man. During Solomons reign as king, Isreal enjoyed a time of peace and saw no war.)

Psalm 68:30

30 Rebuke the beast among the reeds, the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations. Humbled, may it bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war.

Psalm 144:1-2

1 Praise be to the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. 2 He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues people under me.

(The Lord is in control and those nations that he uses for war are made ready for their purpose. He will not make a nation too strong but only what they are needed for to fulfill his plan. But if a nation should become arrogant and proud, the Lord can easily raise up another nation to destroy them, or humble them.)

Jeremiah 51:20-23

20 “You are my war club, my weapon for battle-with you I shatter nations, with you I destroy kingdoms, 21with you I shatter horse and rider, with you I shatter chariot and driver, 22 with you I shatter man and woman, with you I shatter old men and youth, with you I shatter young men and maiden, 23 with you I shatter shepherd and flock, with you I shatter farmer and oxen, with you I shatter governors and officials.

(Here, God shows how he uses other nations to make war in righteousness, for punishment, and wrath. When one nation mistreats its people, or attacks another nation with evil intent, or dishonors the name of the Lord, the Lord displays His might through opposing nations that He causes to step in to defeat evil. In the past, throughout all history, every  nation with evil intentions has fallen by God's mighty hand, wether He used plagues, famine, or war. God always overcomes.)

Revelation 19:11

11 I saw Heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called faithful and true. With justice he judges and makes war.

(The Lord makes war in justice. Sometimes he uses nation against nation as judgment. In the last days, there will be one final battle against all evil and, in righteousness, all evil will be destroyed.)

2Corinthians 10:3-5

3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war like the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapon of the world. On the contrary they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish argument and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

(The war that Christians fight today is not a religious war in the world, but a war in the spirit and of the mind. We use Gods word as a sword, our faith is our shield, our helmet is our salvation, we wear a breastplate of righteousness, a belt of truth, and we walk in the sandals of the Gospel of peace.)
