Judgment Day

Just because you ask Jesus into your life does not mean you are saved. It is not those who hear the word that are saved, but those who hear the word and obey. You must fully repent and put your faith (trust and obedience) in Jesus' teachings. Jesus said, “It is to my fathers glory that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

Matthew 7:21-23

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? 23 Then I will tell them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!”

(Many people believe that they can go to Heaven by doing good works. You can be sure that if someone tells you, "I believe that I am good, so I will go to Heaven," they probably are not following Christ. If you follow the Lord for part of your life,, and return to a life of sin, youwill not be saved from Hell. You must endure till the end of your life. Ezekiel 33 paints a pretty clear picture. Or read the bible doctrine "Hell" to the left.)

Matthew 25:31-46

31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. 32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. 36 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven , nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them alll away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. 45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

Acts 17:31

31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.

(Jesus will sit in the judgment seat, and with His saints, He will judge the world.)

Acts 24:15

15 and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.

(In Daniel 12:2 it is written "multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and contempt.)

 2 Corinthians 5:10

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

(Those who have done what is good will be blessed, and those who have done evil will be punished. Do not be confused about what is good. Just because You think that you are good doesn't mean that you are. Most people want to do what is good, but selfish desires lead them in the wrong direction. Jesus said that without Him, no one can bear good fruit. He is the true vine. He is the way, the truth, and the life. There is no way to the Father except by through Him.)

Revelation 6:9-11

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.

(Before judgment can come,, the right number of saints to be persecuted must take place, for God's wrath to be full. God has set times and dates, and He has drawn a line that when crossed, He will begin to display his full wrath and judgment upon the Earth.)

Revelation 20:11-15

11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it , and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

(Not just men and women, but all of the fallen angels will be judged. Even those in Hell will be pulled out of torment to be judged. The book of life is the book of those who will be saved, thos who were baptised by the Holy spirit and lived in Christ's way. The book of life is also mentioned in Exodus 32:32 and in Revelation 3:5.)
