Creation of the universe

There are some interesting facts in scripture about all that was created. Scripture says that the Earth was round, that the universe was created out of nothing, and that the universe was created by an Intelligent supernatural being by His own understanding. In 1 Enoch (scripture that is not found in the bible) it is written that the Earth "tilted", possibly referring to the tilt of the Earth or the wobble on its axis.

Psalms 102:25

25In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the Heavens are the work of your hands.

(Does anything truly happen by accident? Is there such a thing as a coincidence? It seems ridiculous to observe how life coexists, how life supports other life on Earth, and to still assume that it was all an accident.)

Psalm 136:3-9

3 give thanks to the Lord of Lords: His love endures forever

4 to him who alone does great wonders, His love endures forever

5 who by his understanding made the Heavens, His love endures forever

6 who spread the earth upon the waters, His love endures forever

7 who made the great lights- His love endures forever

8 the sun to govern the day, His love endures forever

9 the moon and the stars to govern the night; His love endures forever

Isaiah 40:21-22

21Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it been told to you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded? 22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the Heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

(In verse 22 it says, "The circle of the earth." Meaning that the Earth is round. Or this may refer to the orbit of the Earth around the sun.)

Jeremiah 51:15

15“He made the earth by his power, he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

(We do not understand everything about our universe, the physical world, or the quantized world. It is all beyond our understanding at this point, but within our grasp. The Lord made everything with an understanding beyond what we are capable of at this time.)

John 1:1-3

1In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

(Jesus is the first and the last, the Alpha and Omega. He was the first from God and all was created through him. Many find it hard to believe that God is one, and God is three. The math doesn't add up. It seems as if it is beyond our understanding, or is it? isn't an Atom made up of 3 parts, but it is all one. And many believe that we are a living physical body, with a soul, and a spirit, but we are one person. Were we not created in His image?)

Romans 4:17

17The God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.

(God has called everything into existence out of nothing. Science has theorized that in the beginning was the "BIG BANG" and nothing before that. If you do some research, many scientists, especially in the quantum world are searching for new answers. They believe that there was something before the big bang, and some even completely deny the big bang theory, saying that it was impossible. Many new theories have and are springing up. Theories need observable experiments to prove them fact. It seems unreachable to experiment with "absolute nothing" and bring something from it. So theory may always stay theory.)

Hebrews 1:1-2

1In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets many times and in various ways. 2but in these last days He has spoke to us by His son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.

(John and Paul both talk about how the universe was created through Christ. Jesus was with God before he came to Earth, and he has all the wisdom that the Father has given him.)

Hebrews 11:3

3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

(All matter is made up of tiny atoms that are invisible the the nakes eye.)
